The new Echo family, introduced on the evening of September 20th, went on sale in the middle of the month - however, the smart Smart Plug socket and the announced Echo Input, which Alexa was supposed to bring to existing loudspeakers, were not included.
Both Alexa accessories can now be ordered and thus complete the new Echo family 2018. While the intermediate socket is already being shipped, the Echo Input is due for delivery on 12 December.

Echo Input is aimed at echo fans who already have existing loudspeakers and want to extend them with Alexa access via audio cable or Bluetooth connection.
Echo Input is connected to the speaker or stereo system via a 3.5 mm audio cable or Bluetooth. Echo Input has four microphones so you can talk to Alexa from anywhere in the room. With a height of just 12.5 mm, it fits into any room. While Echo Dot has an integrated loudspeaker, Echo Input reproduces audio via the connected loudspeakers. When connected to Echo Input, they can also be integrated into a new or existing multi-room group. Echo Input is available in black and white.
